Ted’s heart scan

Ted the dog came for an informal heart scan after his vet heard a murmur. Ted was not comfortable being scanned in the standard echocardiographic positions and, for this reason, no dimension measurements have been taken.

Ted has mild, posteriorly direct mitral regurgitation. His overall left ventricular systolic and diastolic function appears normal. There is no evidence of valvular stenosis or any other significant regurgitation besides his mild mitral valve disease.

This is not a formal echocardiogram and should not be used as a basis for any clinical decisions.
