Weekly veterinary echocardiography reporting workshops

Share

Exclusively for Quantum users and Confidence in Echocardiography members, we are excited to announce the launch of our new weekly live reporting sessions. From September, these will be held every Friday (excluding holiday periods in the United Kingdom, where we are based). There will be two 45-minute sessions at different times of day, to cater for our members across the globe.

First session: 9am UK time (4pm in Manila; 6pm in Canberra; 8pm in Auckland)

Second session: 6.30pm UK time (10.30am in Seattle; 1.30pm in New York; 7.30pm in Cape Town; 9.30pm in Abu Dhabi)

How can I submit a case for live reporting?

(1) Upload your echocardiogram in DICOM format to your Quantum server.

(2) Email Claire the name of the patient you want reported no later than the Wednesday prior to the session you are attending. Please include your patient’s breed and/or bodyweight, original reason for echo, and any other background information we will need to report your echocardiogram with you.

(3) Register for the session which best suits you.

What happens on the call?

We will discuss 1-2 studies in each live call. We will go through the cine loops taken, perform key measurements together, and discuss what they mean in context. If nobody submits any studies for one particular week, we always have plenty of echos on hand that need reporting, so we will choose one of our own.

Please only submit a case if you are happy for it to be shown to other members on the call, and be prepared to get involved. This is very much an interactive coaching call, so please make sure you have a working microphone, as we will be reporting your study together in order to build your confidence in writing echo reports.

We will report your echocardiogram on your own Quantum server, so that you will have a copy of the measurements and report to keep at the end of the call.

What is a Quantum server?

We have developed AI-enabled reporting software for echocardiography. One of our AI models has been validated and published in the JVIM. You can use the beta version of this software, ‘Quantum,’ for a small setup fee. Enrolments are now closed until 3rd September, but you can join the waiting list here to receive more information and be first in line when we onboard the next cohort of users.

If you are already enrolled in our lifelong mentorship programme ‘Confidence in Echocardiography,’ just email us right away so that we can get you setup now.

If your machine cannot export in DICOM format then you will not be able to use Quantum, but we can still review your studies with you – we just cannot perform any measurements on them.

What is Confidence in Echocardiography?

Launched in 2023 (after two years of preparation!), Confidence in Echocardiography is the world’s only community dedicated solely to excellence in veterinary echocardiography. 2025 has seen many exciting additions to the programme, including monthly case walkthroughs and monthly live webinars. For our veterinarians in the United States, we also recently became RACE accredited and the core modules of the training course are worth 11 CE points.

Members benefit from the expansion of the programme at no additional cost: once you join, you’re in for life. It is not a subscription service. As we continue to add more benefits for members, you do not pay anything extra. We do have to increase the joining fee each time substantial additions are made to the programme to enable us to continue to invest in building it, and also to ensure that all existing members continue to get high-quality mentorship on demand. If you have been thinking about joining, book a call here to find out whether or not this is the right choice for you.
