Response to external Facebook group discussion

Below is my post inside a Facebook group I am not normally a member of, which appears to be restricted so that very few people can actually see it:

Thank you for allowing me the opportunity to respond to a comment posted earlier, falsely associating me with the recent news on artificial insemination. My life’s work is about advocating for and democratising access to ultrasound education and skills, so much so that I began a part-time PhD in January with this mission at its core. The idea that I would want to damage the businesses of the hundreds of people I’ve worked with for almost 15 years – by this point, many of whom I’d consider good friends – is quite clearly ludicrous. Below is my video response, along with what I know so far about this news.

If you would like to talk to me about this or any other issue, please contact me. AUA members have also called for a Zoom meeting on this issue; if you’d like to be involved, please email co*****@*************************on.org with subject line “include me”. Thank you.

About the Animal Ultrasound Association

The AUA is a community-run organisation, dedicated to high standards of teaching and practice in ultrasound, no matter who you are. The same training and standards apply to vets and non-vets alike.

AUA-accredited courses offer the highest standard of ultrasound training possible and are the only ultrasound training courses taught by qualified sonographers, who have been teaching this subject to breeders for almost 15 years, long before anybody else even considered doing so. We have been advocating for breeders since the beginning, and will continue to do so.
