Meet Lottie; a two year old red cockapoo who mated with a chocolate merle kc mini poodle. Although her dates put her at approximately 38 days on some of the puppies we could see that bones had started to calcify, by reflections appearing at the scull, and some areas of the spine. One of the images saved really shows this process that has started. Normally we say bones start to calcify from about 40 days.
Lottie is an incredibly sweet natured dog, who loved the attention she had from the scan, standing very still. I certainly cannot wait to see her puppies. today we saw 5 or 6 puppies on the scan. We saw heartbeats and movement.
We also did a gestational sac measurement.
