Lola ; a 4 year old pedigree fox Red Labrador who absolutely loves her human mum, which was very evident at the scan. She loves cuddles on the sofa and a good run around the cliffs. Beaches are her favourite places to visit and she loves to splash around in the sea. Lola is from fab working lines but she is one of our family loved by all. She mated with Bosun; a 2 year old pedigree black Labrador who is worked regularly during the season but he is also a loving and gentle boy who loves to sleep on the bed with his human mum and dad.
On the scan today we saw 6 or 7 puppies, but it was hard to see them all as they are approximately 25 days and still scattered around, so it is possible to miss gestation sacs in a larger female at this early stage. We will rescan in about 12 days when the sacs have grown a bit more and clustered more together. We will also be able to see heartbearts at a slightly later gestation and confirm viable pregnancy.
I look forward to watching this lovely girl progress through her pregnancy.
