This little West Highland White Terrier is 33 days post-mating, and it was exciting to see that she is pregnant with several puppies. Roxy is 30 days post-mating. She had a number of clear gestation sacs, and we could just about make out the tiny flicker of heartbeats inside, helped enormously by what a very patient and calm dog she is!...

Lexi is just under 30 days pregnant, and these few days make a big difference in terms of how obvious the developing foetus’ heartbeat is compared with Molly’s. Lexi is clearly carrying multiple puppies, and one of the tiny heartbeats can be seen flickering in the clip below....

Molly is a French Bulldog, and is around 31 days pregnant. Only one foetus was obvious on Molly’s scan. Posterior to this gestation sac was another shape – probably a kidney – and there was another gestation sac seen, although it appeared to be empty (but healthy – the fluid inside is clear black). Molly’s puppy’s heartbeat was easily identified, and can be seen in the clip below....
